A rare opportunity to view the last studio of the famous Liverpool Sculptor Arthur Dooley. Dooley was instrumental in re-founding the Liverpool Academy of Arts and worked in the basement of 36 Seel Street until his death in 1994. Since then, the studio has remained virtually untouched and various examples of ‘work in progress’, including his last large piece, Miss El Salvador, can be seen.
Directions:
The Studio is located in the basement of 36 Seel Street. From Central Station turn left onto Bold Street and proceed (up hill) for about 200 Metres. Turn right at Yates Wine Bar onto Concert Street. Proceed across Wood Street and Fleet Street. Then at the end of Concert Street you will meet Seel Street. Turn right and cross the road. No. 36 is on the left, next to the car park
