Description

One of the first surviving Georgian cotton mills and one of the best preserved factory colonies, including village and estate. See live demonstrations of cotton processing, the development of water and steam power and see how the workers and young apprentices lived.

There are restrictions on the number of wheelchairs permitted in the mill at any one time but 80% of the mill is accessible to most wheelchair users.
