Aston Hall, Trinity Road, Aston, Birmingham, West Midlands, B6 6JD
This event brings together artists and crafts-people from the local community, along with re-enactors demonstrating life in the past, to celebrate the long historical links between Aston Hall and the Indian subcontinent. During the event you can meet Jacobean soldiers, servants and nobles to find out about life in the past, and take part in craft activities celebrating South Asian cultures. Find out about foods from across the world and across time; speak to local artists, and much more! Make your own rangoli pattern; make a flower garland; have a mehndi hand design; meet people from the past.
This event took place in September 2013 and the entry is now archived.
There is level access to the ground floor of the Hall itself, and to all of the Stables Range. There is no lift access in the Hall itself, however the majority of the event will be taking place on the ground floor or gardens.
Enter Aston Hall by coming up the drive, into the Park, from Trinity Road. The entrance to the drive is almost directly opposite Aston Parish Church. Map link.
