Mornington Road, Chorley Old Road (just off), Bolton, Greater Manchester, BL1 4EU
Our volunteers have rescued and restored 25 old stationary steam engines, some of the ones which once drove the cotton mills of Northern England. Our collection includes 2 rare steam engines (the oldest is around 170 years old!). Most will be running in steam during these 2 days. We have just rescued another very old and unusual engine from the scrap-man. After lying in a field in Yorkshire for 30 years, our volunteers have now restored it to working order. Come and see how we are getting on!
This event took place in September 2013 and the entry is now archived.
