There will be a display of bibles, copes and silver on display in St Georges Chapel. Examples of the St Nicholas Icon collection will be displayed. There will be music at various times during the day with the Clarsach Society playing on Saturday. Information leaflets will be available. There will be timed ticketed tours of the tower. Participants for the Tower Tour must be over 8 and fit. Tickets for the Tower Tour will be available on the day of the event only from 0900. Guided tours of the Cathedral on Saturday and Sunday, with children's tours at the 1415 and 1615. There will be a simple trail for children to follow around the Cathedral.

It is advisable that tower tour participants are in good general health. The stairs are steep, and if you suffer from asthma or respiratory difficulties, any heart condition or vertigo you are advised not to climb the tower.
The Cathedral building dates from the 14th and 15th centurys while the extensive selection of monuments range from 16th to the 20th centurys spanning the history and development of the city of Newcastle.
