Coughton, Alcester, Warwickshire, B49 5JA

Coughton has been home to the Throckmorton family for 600 years. Facing persecution for their Catholic faith, they were willing to risk everything. Explore their fascinating story through ‘Coughton at War' - marking the 100 year anniversary of WW1 with a look at the conflicts which have shaped Coughton's history over 600 years. Coughton is still very much a family home with an intimate feel: in fact the Throckmorton family still live here. They created and manage the stunning gardens, which include a riverside walk, bog garden and beautiful display of roses in the walled garden. Play areas, trails and activities will keep the kids entertained inside the house and around the grounds. Explore the grounds with a family adventure pack.
