The museum, dedicatied to the understanding of Crewkerne's history and heritage, will be open free on the four Heritage Open Days. It will include a special exhibition of recently acquired material of special local interest, and will be the starting point for guided walks through historic Crewkerne on the Saturday and Sunday afternoons. The museum is generally child friendly, though no special facilities for very young ones.

Max 20 people per tour/event. Museum is fully accredited and entirely run by volunteers. Building is picturesque Georgian with some older parts. Linked with the Heritage centre's participation in HODs, two other events to be noted: The historic Unitarian church in Hermitage street, Crewkerne will be open to visitors between 1200 and 1600 on the Saturday and Sunday, and the burial records at the Crewkerne cemetary will be open to view between 1400 and 1600 on the Sunday.
