Lots of fun, family activities will be taking place at Norton Priory where you can complete your time traveller's passport. Take the opportunity to wander around Halton Castle, a scheduled ancient monument and also Grade I listed, which is not normally open to the public. Now run by Norton Priory Museum, this is a rare chance to explore inside the Norman castle walls and there will be tours of the castle site. All ages are welcome. There will be plenty of interactive activities at both venues to keep children entertained.
Norton Priory is accessible with full wheelchair access, however Halton Castle has narrow paths & uneven ground which allows partial access for wheelchairs & buggies. Hearing loop available only at the Museum.
All facilities mentioned are available at Norton Priory Museum and Gardens. They are not available at the Castle.
For sat nav, please use postcode WA7 1BD. From M56 Junction 11, turn towards Warrington and then follow the brown Norton Priory signs. For both sites please park at Norton Priory Museum as there is no parking at Halton Castle. However, there is disabled parking at the Castle. There will be free shuttle buses running between the 2 sites.
