Peterborough Museum, Priestgate, Peterborough, Cambridgeshire, PE1 1LF
Peterborough Museum will be hosting "Behind the Scenes" tours at 11am and 2pm during the weekend. The tours will last about 90 minutes, and participants will be able to learn some of the secrets of the museum's collections and the fascinating story of the historic building which now houses the museum. Children and families are always welcome at Peterborough Museum, although the tours may be unsuitable for younger children, due to the large amounts of information presented.
This event took place in September 2013 and the entry is now archived.
There is lift access to all three floors of the museum aside from the Victorian Operating Theatre. To compensate there is a a digital recreation of the Operating Theatre available in the History of the Building Gallery.
Peterborough Museum is situated in Peterborough City Centre, on Priestgate, two minutes walk from the main shopping areas and from the Queensgate shopping centre, and a five minutes walk from the bus station or the railway station.
