Clare Cottage, Woodgate, Helpston, Cambridgeshire
This was the home of John Clare, the poet, from 1793 until 1832. The Cottage displays what life would have been like at that time. There is also a display of his works, books and other works. The gardens are accessible to all and there will be the Chelsea Garden for which we won a Gold Medal in 2012 at the RHS Chelsea Garden Show. There is a cafe for teas/coffees with rolls, home cakes and soups.
This event took place in September 2013 and the entry is now archived.
