Sharpe's Pottery Museum, West Street, Swadlincote, Derbyshire, DE11 9DG
Sharpe's Secrets will be a two week exhibition displaying previously unseen items from the Museum archives this will run from 12th—28th September. We will encourage people to offer their own interpretation of the objects on display through either words or images, which will demonstrate the work we want to happen with 'Kids take over the Museum' day. On the Friday we will offer tours of the museum at selected times. On the Saturday we will be hosting a clay activity for all - be inspired by our 'Sharpe's Secrets' display create your own object out clay. 1100-1500 free, drop in, suitable for any age and ability. Our exhibition will encourage families to look at the objects and offer their own interpreation through either words or images. The clay acitivity will be suitable for families. The tours can be made family friendly. Our building is suitable for pushchair and disability access, has an accessible play ground and coffee shop, has baby changing facilities and accessible toilets.

Our disabled parking spaces are accessed via West Street . As you go around the one way system they are located off the left hand side of the road just before the museum. The building is fully accessible.
The museum is located on the corner of West Street and Alexandra Road. Follow the brown signs. For parking, follow Alexandra Road round up the hill. Take the 1st left into the industrial estate and follow the road round, this will bring you to the car parking spaces directly by the museum. There is also a free long stay car park if you continue up Alexandra road and take the next turning on the left.. Disabled parking spaces are available and accessed via West Street. Follow the one way system around and the disabled spaces are located off the road on the left hand side just before you reach the museum. Map link.
