Come along and delve into the past of Stockport’s oldest Town House. Discover how our ancestors lived from the 15th to the 20th century. It is home to only one of three surviving Jacobean Cage-newel staircases in the country. There are discover satchels to enhance the young visitors journey round the house.

15 minute walk from Stockport Rail and Bus Stations. Follow the signs to the historic Market Place and Churchgate Car Park/St Mary’s Church. Staircase House can be accessed by visiting the Stockport Tourist Information Centre. Map link.
