Plymouth City Museum and Art Gallery, Drake Circus, Plymouth, Devon, PL4 8AJ
Come to our special event connected to our commemorative WWI exhibition, ‘Plymouth and The Great War’. Join our professional storyteller and musician for tales from the home front as well as from soldiers on the battlefield, including a vivid account of a Devon man who signed up at the age of 17. Songs will include popular tunes from WW1 such as ‘Keep the Home Fires Burning’, ‘It's a Long Way to Tipperary’ and ‘Pack up your Troubles’. Sessions are suitable for anyone 7-107 but younger wrigglers and siblings are also welcome. Admission is free though donations are welcome. There is no need to book in advance.
This event took place in September 2014 and the entry is now archived.
Disabled access is to the rear of our building on Tavistock Place.
We are a short walk up the road from the Drake Circus shopping mall, next to the Central Library and right opposite the Arts Faculty on the Plymouth University campus.
