This talk by Dr. John Higgs, Secretary of the Joseph Rank Trust, will explore the early days of the life of Joseph Rank, the pioneer flour miller and one of the most famous sons of Hull. His life became synonymous with hard work, compassion and Christian philanthropy. The talk will also highlight the emergence of the Rank Organisation, founded by one of Joseph's three sons, J. Arthur Rank.
