Victoria Baths, Hathersage Road, Manchester, Greater Manchester, M13 0FE
A great opportunity to explore Victoria Baths: Britain's finest historic municipal swimming pool, which also has a Turkish baths suite. It is rich in early 20th century architectural splendour - masses of stained glass windows, mosaic floors, decorative tiles and terracotta. For Heritage Open Days we are hosting a Contemporary Glass Fair with exhibits and stalls from the region's leading glass artists. Guided tours are on offer throughout the weekend. The Gallery Choir is performing on Saturday, 1300-1500. There is a children's trail of the building and a family friendly area with activity sheets.
This event took place in September 2014 and the entry is now archived.
There is ramped access to the building and most of the building can be appreciated from the ground floor. No lifts to the first floor or balconies.
This event is part of a programme of heritage based events being delivered in Manchester & Salford by SHOWT (Small Heritage Organisations Working Together).
