Winding House, Hull, East Riding of Yorkshire, HU9 1PW

Opened in 1850 to serve the growing timber trade, the area the dock covered has many interesting tales, from its use as a heavily fortified citadel to its current incarnation as a popular residential area. The author of the Victoria Dock Heritage Trail, Colin McNicol, will bring to life these stories, events and individuals and show still existing highlights such as the original Hartley Bridge and the Winding House (the tall chimney at the first roundabout).

This event took place in September 2014 and the entry is now archived.
