Gisborough Priory Woodland Gardens, Guisborough, Tees Valley, TS14 6PR
Come and find out about the memories of people who lived and worked in the historic Gisborough Priory Gardens or who remember visiting the gardens in their heyday. There will be guided tours of the gardens and as well as the opportunity to contribute your own memories of the gardens in former times. Various finds made during the ongoing restoration work will be on display. Homemade cakes and drinks will be available to buy. There will be free activity sheets for children to complete, taking them around the gardens. Stories will be told throughout the day in the woodland storytelling area. Near the woodland picnic area families can try hopscotch or follow the wooden stepping stones.
This event took place in September 2013 and the entry is now archived.
Access from the Gisborough Priory site can be difficult when wet as paths are uneven. Visitors should be aware of tree roots across some paths.
There will be free entry through the English Heritage site of Gisborough Priory. The gardens are accessible from the priory site or, alternatively, from the gate off the Bow St Centre car park.
Get to the gardens through the English Heritage site of Gisborough Priory in the centre of Guisborough. Map link.
