Enjoy free entry to the Warner Textile Archive as part of the Heritage Open Days initiative. Located in Warner & Sons original silk weaving mill, the Warner Textile Archive’s Collection narrates the rich history of a great British textile industry. From its roots in eighteenth century London to its global recognition for innovative design and luxury textiles in the twentieth century. Citing the Royal family amongst its clients the company, Warner & Sons', is an integral part of Braintree’s heritage. Today the Warner Textile Archive offers a program of workshops, exhibitions and events to complement its ongoing research and conservation projects.

Directions

The Warner Textile Archive is a five minute walk from Braintree Town railway station and Braintree Town Hall. Trains run directly from London Liverpool Street. Braintree bus park is also close by. Free parking is available adjacent to the Archive for a limited number of vehicles.
