the Underwater Archaeology Centre explores the maritime past surrounding the Isle of Wight and is housed in a fascinating Victorian fort, built in 1855. It was relaunched for 2006 and is better than ever, with new displays and hands on exhibits.

This last addition to Henry VIII's coastal defences was completed in 1547. Houses photographs of old Yarmouth. New exhibitions on the castle, the town, and its maritime links for 2007.
