Dare to Dream: FREE workshop packs

This year, as part of our People Power theme, we’re working with Craftivist* Sarah Corbett, who will be running a series of Dare to Dream workshops across the festival, focusing on changemakers from the past, and how we can all be a part of positive change for the future.

* Craftivism – a combination of crafting and activism

Sarah herself will be running four sessions, but we’re looking for organisers across the country who would be interested in hosting their own ‘craftivism workshops’.   It’s a great way to bring people together and engage them with the gentle activity of crafting, whilst giving them the opportunity to talk about the changemakers in your local community, and their individual wishes for a brighter future.

The good news is that the workshops are simple to run, only take an hour (with a little prep time beforehand)  and we have lots of resources (including how-to guides, a video and other materials) to ensure that your workshop goes with a swing.  Best of all, we have 25 FREE WORKSHOPS PACKS to give away, containing all the materials you’ll need, including needles, thread and felt.

To qualify for a free pack, simply register your workshop as a Heritage Open Days event – and if you’re one of the first 25, we’ll soon have a pack winging its way to you through the post.  Just a reminder – registration closes on August 1, so don’t leave it too late – and once the 25 free packs are gone, you will need to source your own materials (list and instructions available here, or check the information in your Organiser area for more details).
