A chance to attend a fascinating display and illustrated talk on the history of St. Austin's church, Wakefield. This year we will focus on the processions and parades which have taken place in and around the church over its 200 year history .

Visitors will have a chance to view a pictorial display covering aspects of the 200 year history of the parish.
There will be a chance to attend a short 30 minute illustrated talk covering points in the church's history with a focus on the various processions and parades which have taken place in and around the church over the years.
The church itself is open throughout the year for visits and services.

Timings

Friday 18 September:
Display opens 1830 for talk at 1900 lasting 30 minutes
Saturday 19 September:
Display is open for visitors and tours of the church between 1100 and 1500

Directions:
The event will be held in the parish centre situated beneath St. Austin's church on Wentworth Terrace. Parking is free on surrounding streets after 18:00 The centre is accessed by steps or a ramp and as such is suitable for assisted or powered wheelchair access.
