  • Multiple dates available
  • In person
  • Pre-booking required

Guided Walks south west from Grimsby Town Hall, through to People's Park area exploring the lasting impact that architects Farebrother, Scaping and Wells had on this part of town from mid 19th to early 20th centuries.

Included in these Walks will be the histories of these 3 men and their contribution to the expansion of Grimsby during a time of prosperity, inspiration and wealth. We will look at examples of their work in an area of town where the more important and wealthy chose to live during Grimsby's boom period in the fishing industry.
Background information about the 3 architects will be made available on www.grimsbycleecivsoc.com during September and printed material will be available on the Walks.
This event is not intended to be a comprehensive list of these architects' works, but is more a celebration of Grimsby's expansion in history.
