  • 21 Sep 2025
  • In person
  • Pre-booking not required

Discover the lives, culture and creativity of Hong Kong migrants in Castleford. Enjoy a moving theatre performance, join a creative workshop, and experience music from traditional opera to modern favourites — all free and open to all.

Step into the sounds and spirit of Hong Kong in Castleford. This warm and welcoming concert brings together members of the local Hong Kong community to share songs, stories, and traditions that reflect their journeys and identities.

The afternoon will feature four songs performed by different age groups of Hongkongers, from traditional favourites to contemporary melodies, each carrying personal or cultural meaning. We’re also delighted to welcome back Vivian for a special Cantonese opera performance, offering a taste of one of Hong Kong’s most iconic art forms.

To make the afternoon even more welcoming, we’ll be serving light refreshments (Hong Kong Style) before the event — a perfect chance to meet new people and continue the conversation.
