This event will explore the origins of Adowa, its spiritual and cultural significance, and the messages expressed through specific movements and drum rhythms. By doing this, I aim to educate the audience about the ways dance serves as a vessel of history, identity, and resistance, especially within African traditions that have often been marginalized in mainstream historical narratives.
