Step aboard after hours for a special 30th anniversary Museum Late exploring life on The Golden Hinde in the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s through stories, voices and memories.

Join us after dark for a special Heritage Open Days Museum Late marking 30 years of The Golden Hinde in Bankside.

Inspired by Everyday Histories, this evening explores what life was really like onboard during the ship’s earlier years - when she sailed across seas and later found her home in St Mary Overie Dock.

Through talks, storytelling and shared memories, hear from those connected to the ship’s journey across the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s. Discover the realities of living, working and sailing aboard a historic reconstruction - from daily routines to extraordinary voyages.

Set within the ship’s unique atmosphere, this relaxed evening invites you to step into recent history and celebrate the community that has shaped The Golden Hinde over three decades.

Doors and bar open from 6pm. Booking is preferred as there is limited capacity on our beautiful ship!

This event is part of Heritage Open Days 2026, themed around Everyday Histories.
