Aldenham School was founded at the end of the 16th century, but the School was largely rebuilt during the 19th century with new school rooms.

The listed school buildings include the old library and dining hall, headmaster’s house, tower, dining hall and school room all from stock brick and stone dressing.

The end of the 19th century saw a major expansion with a chapel and the building of McGill’s and Beevor’s House. Paull’s House followed in the early 20th century followed by the commemorative Library and a new chapel across the road.

Post war, Kennedy’s modern boarding house was created with its distinctive copper roof. Now there are plans to incorporate additional space for creative activities.
