Anderton Boat Lift Boat Trips

Board the Edwin Clark trip boat for a stunning river cruise, and listen to the informative and lively commentary and learn how the Cathedral of the Canals is a master of Victorian Engineering whilst also experiencing the scenic Weaver Navigation. Once a busy commercial waterway, it is now a haven for wildlife and a peaceful retreat for young and old to enjoy.

Please note: Visitors who have booked a boat trip must be on site at least 30 minutes before departure to collect their tickets.

Please note: The lift itself is currently closed to the public while essential repairs are carried out to the caisson gates. However the Visitor Centre, coffee shop and grounds remain open to visitors to explore.

Anderton Boat Lift use an online booking system through Digitickets and bookings open on Tuesday 1 September. Please book a river ticket when you add date of 13 September it will automatically change to a free ticket for that trip only.
