Launching on Friday 12 September 2025, Arches of Southwark: A Walk Through Time is a brand-new self-guided trail available via the free Bloomberg Connects app, running throughout Heritage Open Days 2025 (until 21 September).

Winding through Bankside’s hidden corners and famous landmarks, this digital walking trail reveals the stories behind Southwark’s arches - the overlooked architectural gems that frame our neighbourhood. From medieval ruins and Tudor theatres to Victorian market vaults, discover how these arches shaped the character, trade, and culture of the area over the centuries.

Along the way, enjoy bite-sized stories, surprising facts, and photos from our quirky and wonderful neighbours, including:

- Southwark Cathedral
- Borough Market
- The Old Operating Theatre
- The Rose Playhouse
- Shakespeare’s Globe

Your journey ends at The Golden Hinde - our full-scale reconstruction of a 16th Century galleon moored right in the heart of Southwark.

This is not just a history trail - it’s a celebration of place, people, and architecture, designed for curious locals, families, and explorers of all ages.

- Available 12–21 September only.
- Accessible from anywhere via the Bloomberg Connects app.

Watch this space - the guide goes live at the start of the festival!
