The Wiltshire and Swindon History Centre is celebrating architecture, design and engineering at our Heritage Open Day on 20th September. Whether it's architect Harold Brakspear, garden designer Harold Peto or engineer Isambard Kingdom Brunel, join us in a celebration of the built environment, historic and modern, including the History Centre itself. There will be displays, activities and a chance to see behind the scenes, plus our pop-up Heritage Café. Our conservators from the Conservation and Museums Advisory Service team will be opening their labs, while colleagues from the Wiltshire Buildings Record and Historic Environment Record will be on hand with their expertise. And why not pop in to say hello to the Performing Arts Library team in their newly opened home at the History Centre. Heritage Open Day runs from 10am to 4pm.
