Arts Central Studios – Studio Tour

Arts Central Studios is a vibrant creative hub based in a converted warehouse in Kiln Farm, with over seventy-five artists working across a diverse range of practices. Our artists range from amateur to professional and work across a variety of genres, from painting and printing, to sculpture, music, writing, and film. The building houses over eighty individual studios as well as communal spaces, and a public venue, The Box Arts Club.

Our studio tours provide a rare opportunity to explore this normally private working space. As a HODs visitor, you will be able to explore our labyrinth of studios and social spaces, guided by one of our artists. You are invited to step into the studios to meet them and learn all about their work, inspiration and the techniques that go into their creations. There will be the chance to see those techniques being applied in demonstrations from some of our artists.

You can chat to our studio holders about the world of the working artist and discuss with them anything from the everyday challenges they face and how these may influence their practice on a practical level, to how they get the paint out of their brushes! This is a fantastic chance to really get behind the life of an artist in their studio.

The tours aim to give insight into an artist’s creative practice, offering inspiration to anyone considering moving into an artistic career or fascinating insights for those interested in how artists make art.
