Mark Burrell is an award-winning artist and established professional fine art painter, born in Lowestoft, Suffolk. His work is characterised by a visionary imagination and a distinctive ability to transform the familiar—particularly his hometown of Lowestoft—into richly layered worlds where multiple narratives intertwine.
Mark has exhibited nationally and internationally, including in London, New York, France, Norway and Holland. He and his work have also featured on television several times, including Anglia Television’s Moving Art, where he was interviewed by Sister Wendy Beckett and awarded First Prize by Bill Oddie.
Visitors are invited to explore Mark’s studio and galleries, showcasing original paintings, sketches, greeting cards, books and limited-edition prints. Discover the atmospheric magic realism for which his work is renowned, from dreamlike fairgrounds and circus scenes to theatrical landscapes where imagination, memory and observation come together.
Also on display are the original illustrations from Mark’s first children’s book, Bertie by the Beach.

There is plenty of parking outside, either on the road or in the free car park opposite. There is one step into the building with access to two galleries downstairs. The artist's studio and bathroom are up one flight of stairs.
