Bagthorpe Gardens

Tours of historic cottage gardens with Grade II* listing, dating from the 1840s with original hedging and restored bothies, including a new bothy renovated in the original style. Come and see wonderful fruit and vegetables being grown and talk to the gardeners. See displays of photos and interesting artefacts in our new museum, and browse plant and book stalls. Enjoy some hot drinks and homemade refreshments.

Partial access for disabled people. Level access to garden for stalls and refreshments. Tours are on rough and uneven ground and slopes.

Tea stall with hot drinks, samosas and homemade cakes. Stalls selling plants and second hand books. Local honey, jam and produce from the gardens are for sale if available.
