Balmoral screening + Behind-the-Scenes Tours
Curzon Cinema & Arts, 46-48 Old Church Road, Clevedon, Somerset, BS21 6NN
Free but bookable, this is an open-doors style tour that enables you to come along at any point for a behind-the-scenes tour of the Curzon's Grade II listed building and working cinema. Our knowledgable tour guides will be dotted throughout the building, with treats and drinks available to buy in the bar. 113 years of cinema and local, social history are encapsulated within this heritage cinema; a local asset and cultural venue that was saved by the community in 1996.
After the tour we will be screening Harry Knight's documentary film 'Balmoral' with an introduction and Q+A session by Maggie Urquhart who was a key figure in it's restoration and stars in the film.
"As historic ships vanish from British waters, a group of passionate volunteers fights to save the Balmoral. A 1949 passenger vessel moored in Bristol’s iconic harbour, battling time, bureaucracy, and financial struggles to preserve a piece of maritime history before it’s lost."

There are stairs throughout the building, although it is possible to just view the auditorium (with accessible toilets) without staired access.
