We're 225 years old this year! Bamford Chapel has been at the heart of the community since 1801. Come take a look around this historic building and find out more about its fascinating history. Take a look around and listen to an illustrated talk.

Take the opportunity to have a look around and browse some of the archives, dating back 225 years or join us for our illustrated talk, taking place at 2.00pm on Sat 19th and Sun 20th Sept and will last approx hour.

What is the connection with the writers of the St James Bible? How is the chapel connected to the first war photographer and royal photographer? The first Rochdale MP was from Bamford Chapel. Sir Robert Kay Shuttleworth, one of the founders of our education system attended and later taught at the Sunday School here. Information on the war dead from WW1 will be available. Find out where they lived and worked and about their family connections. Refreshments will be available.

If arriving by car, please park on the large car park situated across from chapel on Norden Road. There are a few disabled parking spaces to the rear of the building. If coming by public transport, the closest bus stops are situated on Bury and Rochdale Old Road
