Banners, Art and Local History

The event takes place in Bowburn Community Centre - originally the Miners Welfare Hall & Institute, across the road from Bowburn Colliery (which closed in 1967).
Bowburn Banner Group will host a display of local banners, including its own historic collection.
Bowburn Local History Society invites visitors to browse its collection of books, maps, photographs, memorabilia and unpublished records in its History & Heritage Room.
Bowburn Art Group will display members' work in the Bowburn Art Gallery.
Tea & coffee available.
