Barley and Beer - a guided walk

In the Middle Ages the Tweed Valley was known as "the bread basket of Scotland" and huge amounts of barley came to Berwick to be shipped, sold or processed. All of these activities have left their mark on the architecture of the town, giving us many impressive building over the years, some of which we will highlight.
Our main focus though will be on the many pubs in the town, both past and present, their design and role in the life of the town over the years. This is a walk that may give you a thirst!
