Barn Theatre: Behind the Scenes
Barn Theatre, Barn Close, Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire, AL8 6ST
On Sunday September 20th the Barn Theatre will be inviting the public to experience behind-the-scenes tours of its performance spaces and backstage areas.
Volunteers will be on hand to discuss what makes a successful production, with costumes, props, directing, set building, and sound and lighting all covered. It is a fascinating opportunity to see the time, effort, skill and energy that goes into putting on a show.
Whether you are a loyal member of our audiences, interested in getting involved in the theatre in some capacity or just curious to have a look around an iconic Welwyn Garden City building, all are welcome!
Established in 1932, The Barn Theatre occupies a building dating back to 1830.The original barn building, parts of which can still be seen, was constructed all the way back in 1598.
