Battle of Lewes walk

On 14 May 1264 Henry III and Simon de Montfort's rebel barons fought with 2000 mounted knights and up to 8000 foot soldiers. The rebels' victory led the way to parliamentary democracy. This walk led by John Freeman of the National Battlefields Trust looks in detail at the site of the battle on Landport Bottom. The walk includes QR codes for 5-minute videos which can be watched later if wished.
