  • 17 Sep 2025
  • In person
  • Pre-booking required

Join us to discover the history of the building of The Archive Centre, a purpose built archive for Norfolk's documents. Feel the temperature of our Strongrooms, see our box making machine and have a peak at our digitization studio.

Take a tour to understand the thought process of the architects who designed it and see the journey of a document entering the building. Find out about the search for the latest technology which was incorporated into the design. Finally have a look at documents from across Norfolk, including architectural drawings, plans, maps and elevations. See how different Norwich could have looked with three alternative plans for City Hall and a sketch for a flyover by Carrow Road.
