Behind the Scenes: Medical History - The old Worcester Royal Infirmary building and Worcestershire Archives

A tour behind-the-scenes in the old Worcester Royal Infirmary building, the home of the BMA, followed by a special themed behind-the-scenes tour at The Worcestershire Archives at The Hive, with documents from The Worcester Royal Infirmary.
Visitors are asked to meet at the reception of the University of Worcester city campus, which is the Old Infirmary building, on Infirmary Walk, Worcester WR1 3AS.
The event includes an hour long tour of the former Infirmary building which will end in The Infirmary Museum. Visitors will then take a short walk to The Hive, allowing 30 minutes to walk between sites and store bags in lockers. The second part of the event is a medical themed tour behind-the-scenes in the Worcestershire Archives for one hour. Here, the usual behind-the-scenes documents will be on display, as well as documents specific to the Worcester Royal Infirmary.

The tour moves around two sites and between the sites. There is wheelchair access around each building with lifts and ramps in each and there is disabled parking available near each. There is a sloped pathway and ramps between the two buildings. Assistance dogs are not allowed in the archives due to the nature of the collection. Changing Places toilet available at The Hive.
