Belthorn Village Heritage Weekend at The Dog Inn Community Pub
61 Belthorn Road, Belthorn, Blackburn, Lancashire, BB1 2NN
That’s about it really. Belthorn was a weaving and mining community - a small hilltop village once regarded as one of the most nefarious, unenlightened and sinful places around Blackburn with nine pubs! There will be village videos running, lots of photos and ephemera to see and members and locals around over the weekend available to chat. The free printed walk around this historic village, now much more peaceful, will be available. Come and enjoy the beautiful moors. The event takes place in the 18th century The Dog Inn, Lancashire’s first village owned community pub, so food and refreshments will be available from the bar or fantastic restaurant and coffee shop along with outdoor seating and stunning views to the coast from the rear taking in three Towers no less! Stairlift available to toilets.

The events room is up a flight of stairs, and the ladies and gents toilets are likewise only accessible via stairs. A stairlift has been fitted so this is no longer an issue.
The old farm / cotton warehouse / public house building is part of the exhibition as it is about 300 years old and now the first Lancashire community pub (with great beer) owned by the villagers. It is also houses a fantastic restaurant, shop, serves as a community centre and has a coffee shop run by volunteers. It is also in the highest village in Lancashire.
