Berwick Lifeboat Station, Carr Rock, Spittal, Berwick-upon-Tweed, Northumberland, TD15 1QS
Berwick Lifeboat Station was first established in Spittal in 1835. Since then, it has swapped from one side of the River Tweed to the other . It remained on the Spittal side until 1901 when it transferred over to the Berwick side of the river. It was subsequently moved back to Spittal again to its present site at Carr Rock. Please note that only the newer lifeboat building will be open this year. You can combine a visit to the Lifeboat Station over the weekend with a walk around Secret Spittal, visit to the Sailing Club, an exhibition in the Community Centre and some guided walks. See other entries for details.
