Bicester Local History Society is running oral history sessions on the topic of Bicester shops from the point of view of shoppers and/or employers/employees, largely from the 1960s onwards.

As part of this festival, Bicester Local History Society has decided to run some oral history sessions at Bicester Library on Saturday 12th September on the subject of Bicester shops. We hope that these will build on our oral history collection by covering people’s memories from the 1960s onwards. So, whether you’re a long-standing resident or someone who came to the Bicester area in the 1960/70s; whether you shopped in town and/or worked in one of the shops, banks etc, we’d love you to join us.
Everyone is welcome, so tell your friends! At the very least, you can enjoy a programme of interesting photographs and videos to jog your memory.
