A short walk exploring the landscape history of the northern part of Bidston Hill.

A short walk exploring the landscape history of the northern part of Bidston Hill. View the Medieval manor house (external only), explore the former Deer Park, learn about the origins of the natural landscape and Victorian development plans which were significantly thwarted by local citizens.

Guided walk – some rough ground, uphill sections, steps and roadside pavement. Bring waterproofs and wear appropriate footwear.

Walk starts and finishes on Eleanor Road outside Bidston Hall. Note – Eleanor Rd is not a through-road. Roadside parking can be accessed from Bidston Village Road or from the south via Lymm Road and Eleanor Rd.

Walk length is 1.5km and involves 45m ‘climb’ up the hill and back
