A short walk exploring the landscape and history of the northern part of Bidston Hill.

View the Medieval manor house (external only), explore the former Deer Park, learn about the origins of the hill, local industry, Victorian development plans, traces of a mansion that disappeared after only 30 years and contemplate several unexplained structures.

Directions:
Walk starts and finishes on Eleanor Road outside Bidston Hall. Note – Eleanor Rd is not a through-road. Roadside parking can be accessed from Bidston Village Road or from the south via Lymm Road and Eleanor Rd. Walk length is 1.5km and involves 45m ‘climb’ up the hill and back
