Birmingham Hippodrome Heritage Morning
Hurst Street, Birmingham, West Midlands, B5 4TB
Uncover some of the history of this 125-years-old theatre by attending our Heritage Morning this September. Significant pieces from our archive will be on show, including the silk programme from our opening night in 1899, and our heritage volunteers will help you to discover the stories behind the items.
To coincide with the Black Sabbath ballet that will be being performed on our main stage, there will be a talk on the history of music staged at the Hippodrome. An additional talk detailing the theatre’s vast history will also be available.
In addition, two behind the scenes tours will be on offer to visitors, but due to limited spaces, you will need to be at the theatre early to reserve your space!

Whilst we make every effort to ensure full access to wheelchair users, there may be restrictions in the locations that can be visited on the tours, as the production companies may have false stages / sets that prohibit wheelchair access.
