Birthplace Guided Tours

For this year’s Heritage Open Days, why not enjoy a free guided tour of the Samuel Johnson Birthplace Museum? Led by our knowledgeable guides, find out about the life and work of Dr Samuel Johnson and explore the family home where he grew up.

Spaces on our tours are limited, so pre-booking is essential. Tickets can be booked online, in person in our Bookshop, or by calling us on 01543 264972. If you can no longer attend your slot, please contact us as soon as possible.

Please be aware that the Museum is a Grade I listed building with many steps, and regrettably wheelchair access is not available.
