Blandford Forum Guided Heritage Walk
Marsh & Ham Car Park, Market Place, Blandford Forum, Dorset, DT11 7AW
A guided walk taking approximately two hours of the town centre, totally rebuilt after the Great Fire of 1731, examining the history and detail of its Georgian and other architecture, including the Grade I listed parish church, Town Hall and Corn Exchange (recently fully restored) and other fine buildings designed by architects John and William Bastard. See also other places of note, amongst them the birthplace of sculptor Alfred Stevens who designed the Wellington Monument in St Paul’s Cathedral.

- Meet in the car park at the Marsh & Ham car park, Blandford (behind Morrisons supermarket, DT11 7AW). Signed off West Street, Blandford (follow signs from Blandford bypass A350/A354 junction to Blandford town centre, enter town over town bridge and car park is immediately on right. Also parking at Stour Park (follow signs from Blandford bypass A350/354 junction to Blandford town centre, take third exit at mini-roundabout, then straight over the next (Homebase to the left and Tesco to the right) to car park beyond the skate park and follow the footpath over river footbridge into March & Ham car park.
