Longdales Road, Lincoln, Lincolnshire, LN1 3DY
10am-3pm, ‘Games Jam’ (Hardy Building, seminar room 4): Teams are tasked with designing a board game from scratch that is related to our institutional history. The finished articles will be tested post-3pm. Attendees can join for the whole day, or come at 3pm to see the finished article and talk with lecturers and students involved in the design.
Between 3pm and 5pm, our academics will offer a series of short talks, guided walks and activities around campus. Meet at Hardy Building Main Reception to find out when and where the talks will occur.
History detectives: A fun way to explore our campus and buildings. See if you can match historic photographs of the campus to their present day campus locations?
Roman remains: The archaeology team will lead a tour to illustrate Roman heritage on site and provide a look at our archaeology laboratory and its ongoing research projects.
Old School House: In the building that used to serve as a practising school for trainee teachers, we will offer a presentation on the early history of the College, with a focus on the student experience.
Lincolnshire Day: Colleagues from English Literature will discuss the history of the institution, guests and literary tourism.
5.30pm @ The Venue cinema: introductory talk and screening of the 1962 British drama, The Wild and the Willing, filmed in Lincoln – marking the film debuts of Ian McShane, John Hurt and Samantha Eggar.
