A chance to view Brass Bands England's new exhibition and also to attend a Curator's Talk and book to join one of our exclusive timed tours of the Brass Bands Archive. The day will run from 11am-3pm on Saturday 19th September 2026. Maximum entry for the exhibition and Curator's Talk is 75, tours have a maximum capacity of 10 people per tour.
The Brass Bands Archive holds over 100,000 items relating to the history of brass bands and brass banding in the UK and includes collections of programmes, photographs, uniforms, trophies, and more.
The exhibition showcases the highlights from over 200 years of history, and the pioneers who have made brass bands what it is today. New oral histories may also be heard which explore stories of what it is like to take part in brass bands heritage today, part of our Diverse Voices project funded generously by The National Lottery Heritage Fund.
